Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
You arrive in Arusha, Tanzania’s safari gateway. After landing, you’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your boutique hotel. If time allows, take a relaxed city tour and witness local life, or head to Kilima Moto for a sunset view over the hills. In the evening, meet your guide and fellow travelers for a briefing—your Great Migration adventure begins tomorrow.

Day 2: Arusha → Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive ~2 hours to Tarangire NP. Famous for its ancient baobab trees and large elephant herds, Tarangire offers your first immersive wildlife experience. Game drives lead you through diverse landscapes. Later, enjoy a picnic by the river, with wildlife all around. Overnight in a lodge with views of the park.

Day 3: Karatu – Serengeti (via Ngorongoro Area)

On arrival, enjoy a game drive at dusk. Wildlife numbers increase, with chances of spotting predators in action.

Day 4: Northern Serengeti Game Drives (Mara River)

Day 5: Mara River Crossing & Serengeti Plains
Continuing your wildlife journey, today focuses on following migration herds gathering upstream, possibly witnessing dramatic river crossings of wildebeest and zebra. Game drives across majestic plains, watching predators follow the migration trail. Return to your same camp for dinner under the stars.

Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater Rim

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Tour – Return to Arusha

Day 8: Materuni Waterfalls & Departure (Optional Add-On)
If you’d like to add a cultural and scenic experience to the end of your safari, spend your final morning exploring the lush foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. Take a gentle hike through banana and coffee plantations to reach the stunning Materuni Waterfalls, cascading into a cool natural pool. Afterwards, visit a local coffee farm where you’ll join the villagers in preparing and tasting fresh Tanzanian coffee. After lunch, you’ll be transferred to the airport in time for your flight home.
